What to do after a missed workout
Missing a session is normal. A routine that survives interruptions matters more than a perfect streak, and what you do next counts most.

Carry on with the next session
There is usually no need to make up a missed workout by doing two in one day or adding extra work. Pick up with the next session in your plan, at the level you were at, and let the week continue.
Look for a pattern, not blame
If the same day is missed again and again, the plan probably does not fit that day. Moving the session, or reducing the number of training days, is a practical fix rather than a step back.
Returning after a break
After illness, injury or a longer gap, build up gradually again. If you are unsure what is safe for you, check with a qualified professional before returning to your previous level.
An everyday example
Priya misses Monday’s session because of a late meeting. On Wednesday she does the next workout in her plan as usual, and notices that Mondays have been missed three weeks in a row. She moves that session to Tuesday.
